Best Picture for HD Movies. Period! July 15, 2008
PROS:
1. Superb color, contrast and overall picture characteristics
2. Picture looks most film-like compared to other digital displays that I considered.
3. Excellent fit and finish
4. Pretty easy to get an excellent picture out of this display (all the other displays I considered in this range were terrible out of the box and the display made it almost impossible to get the colors and constrast right by using their on screen menus).
CONS:
1. Poor power supply causes a slight buzz (that can be annoying to some) - which is why this gets a 4 star and not a 5.
2. Included speakers are below standard (I replaced mine with a Bose pair that sound much better)
3. media Center feature is really complex!
4. Expensive (this was a good $2000 more expensive than any other alternative I considered).
(I have owned 3 plasma displays since 2005 - 2 panasonics (their professional series and this pioneer).
